Lloyd & Joyce Riekeman set up shop in 1963 as an affiliate store of LaFayette Radio, selling everything from electronic components to C.B. Radios and Stereos. In 1969 they decided to expand their merchandise lines to include numerous other manufacturers and changed the business name to Lloyd’s Radio and Electronics. In 1981 with so many “discount” stores selling C.B. Radios and Stereos, the decision was made to drop these lines of merchandise and concentrate only on electronic components. In 1990, daughter Sandy took over as President when Lloyd retired. In 2005, with the closure of one of Wichita’s oldest Two-Way Communications companies, we added Two-Way Communications Sales and Service to our business.
Lloyd’s Electronics is the only store of its kind in Wichita Kansas. Serving hobbyists as well as professionals in the electronics industry. Currently we have over 10,000 different items. Those items include Electronics Kits, new and used test equipment, Metal Detectors, Two-Way Radios, and other electronic components.
NOTICE: After 55 years in business, we are sad to say we are Going Out Of Business.
